Several connection configurations were considered for the proposed Dyrick Hill Wind Farm project, taking account of existing and planned transmission infrastructure. The Dungarvan 110 kV substation is located south east of this proposed project's Study Area. 

 

The preferred connection strategy of the project features an internal collector circuit and onsite substation which will export electricity via an underground cable connection to a connection point identified in conjunction with Statutory body consultation. The connection strategy will not be finalised until a connection offer is made by Eirgrid.

A grid integration study will be carried out in conjunction with Eirgrid and could commence in 2023/24 assuming the planning process has been completed and a favorable decision for the proposed project has been reached.
